St. Peter's serves our own community, the broader Central Coast Community, the community of the Diocese of El Camino Real, and the community of the national Episcopal Church. Of those various versions of "community" we are a part.
In addition, we serve other organizations directly and indirectly, through donations of time, money, and prayer.
Our buildings are available for use by non-profit organizations. The parish hall is used most of nearly every day and is available for other uses at times when it is not already in use.
St. Peter's provides monetary support for The Canterbury Foundation, The Women's Shelter, and others. Food support is provided for the Salvation Army, The Food Bank, and hot lunches are provided at the Prado Day Center in San Luis Obispo. In addition, used personal property is donated to The Achievement House.
On April 15, 2012, St. Peter's allocated $1,000 as seed money for a project that will buy land, build a structure, and provide continuing shelter and sustenance for orphans in the diocese of Western Tanganyika, Africa. A member of St. Peter's volunteered to bring in other parishes, the diocese, the national church, Episcopal Relief and Development, and federal government agencies.
We welcome you to join us in our support of these organizations.
